WASHINGTON (Circa) - Ring of Honor is coming to Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The wrestling promotion announced they will hold their first ever show at the historic venue on Saturday night April 6th, 2019.

“It was always the dream, but I never believed it would become a reality,” said Chief Operating Officer Joe Koff.

An estimated fifteen-thousand fans are expected to attend what will likely be the biggest event in the promotion’s history, which dates back to 2002.

The event titled “G-1 Supercard”, will be a dual-branded show featuring stars from both Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

“MSG is the home of greatness,” said Koff. “It’s a magical place for any fan who wants to experience something great.”

The promotion currently features some of the biggest names in professional wrestling today, including “The American Nightmare” Cody, The Young Bucks, Dalton Castle and World Champion Jay Lethal.

“MSG fulfills the dreams of not only our fans but many of our wrestlers, who never envisioned wrestling there,” said Koff.

And now that the news has been made official, Koff says it’s time to start preparing to put on the best show possible.

“We have never disappointed our fans. They are our number one focus. We know the expectations of our audience and so do our wrestlers.”
