Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes, waffles, and French toast recalled due to Listeria concern

Several Aunt Jemima frozen food products have been voluntarily recalled due to a possible listeria contamination.

The FDA announced that Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes, Frozen Waffles & Frozen French Toast Slices may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes on Friday.

Pinnacle Foods Inc., the manufacturer, made the decision to recall the food after listeria was found in the plant environment.

Below is a list of all the products under the recall, which affect all products regardless of the Best By Date.

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, weak or elderly people, and others with weak immune systems.

Symptoms include:

  • High fever
  • Severe headache
  • Stiffness
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhea
