Nearly 1,000 volunteers needed for 2018 NCAA Women’s Final Four
COLUMBUS, Ohio - - The Columbus Local Organizing Committee (CLOC) announced that the Women’s Final Four volunteer registration site is now open for applications.
With the Women’s Final Four just 106 days away, Columbus continues to finalize plans to make this the most successful Women’s Final Four in NCAA history. As part of its commitment to hosting this event, the CLOC is actively recruiting volunteers. There are over 2,500 volunteer shifts available for more than 1,000 individuals.
Volunteer opportunities include Tourney Town presented by Capital One, Women’s Basketball Coaches Association National Convention, the Bounce presented by Buick, Red Carpet Arrivals, hotel welcome desks, Beyond the Baseline events and numerous hospitality events. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and each volunteer will receive official Women’s Final Four apparel to be worn throughout the week.
The NCAA Women’s Final Four is expected to attract more than 40,000 fans, including 30,000 from outside the region, generating an estimated 14,000 hotel room nights and an estimated $25-plus million in direct visitor spending for Central Ohio. The national semifinals and championship game will be televised nationally on the ESPN and ESPN2. Women’s Final Four tickets remain on-sale at NCAA.com/WBBTickets.
