Need to know info about Highball Halloween
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- The biggest annual costume part in Central Ohio is happening this weekend in Columbus.
The 10th annual Highball Halloween takes place Friday and Saturday Night in downtown Columbus near the Short North and the Arena District between East Goodale and High Street to Goodale Street and Nationwide Boulevard.
Tickets range from $10 to $150.
Organizers have a list of all the options attendees can use to get in and out of the area from parking to public or private transport.
Described by organizers as the nation's most elaborate costume party, it bridges runway style with the culture of the Short North Arts District.
It began in 2008 as a one-night event centered around the Battelle Costume Couture Fashion Show, where teams of local designers compete for the top spot and a cash prize. Collectively, it features a street party, live art, stage performances, and a public costume contest surrounded by food trucks and vendors.
Friday's schedule features "Highball on the Rocks," with a tribute concert honoring fashion.
The Short North Alliance hosts the event to help raise money to support clean and safe initiatives, promotions, holiday campaigns, public art installations, parking management and more in the district.
