Bourne police have identified a woman who they say stole from a tip jar.

The 66-year-old woman was caught on camera sticking her hand in the jar several times Monday at the Lobster Trap. Police said she was in the restaurant at about 5:50 p.m.

Employees noticed money was missing from the jar and called police.

The woman, who lives in Bourne, will be summoned to Falmouth District Court for the charge of larceny under $250.

Police asked people to pay careful attention to the woman's mannerisms, clothing, and eye glasses.

"She was identified after detectives were able to confirm she utilized a credit card to purchase food immediately after reaching into the tip jar AND people recognized her from the shared surveillance video," authorities said.
