Beyond the Game: Eddie George brings high school drama students into his master class

COLUMBUS -- Two weeks in advance of his Columbus stage debut as fast-talking lawyer Billy Flynn in the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical CHICAGO, NFL legend, OSU superstar, and Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George hosted a master class for approximately 30 students from the recently established drama program of South High School.

Monday's field trip so to speak was conducted in the manner of "Inside the Actors Studio" with a moderator asking Mr. George questions followed by a Q&A with the students, constructive critiques of 2-3 student monologues by Mr. George, and a group photo.

The former NFL running back left the field 13 years ago and has thrived as an actor, taking his talents to broadway in the hit musical Chicago. This triumphant hit musical is the recipient of six Tony Awards®, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy®, thousands of standing ovations, and is now the #1 longest-running American musical in Broadway history.
