Clippers fall in Buffalo
The Columbus Clippers pounded out 13 hits Friday in Buffalo, but 11 were singles in the 9-3 loss to the Bison.
Columbus (7-8) tied the game at 2 in the fourth on Chris Collabello's second home run of the season, but Buffalo answered with four in the bottom of the inning off Clippers starter Chris Narveson to pull away.
Colabello added a double and single to his homer and drove in all three Columbus runs. Erik Kratz added three singles and Erik Gonzalez and Richie Shaffer had two hits each.
The teams meet again at 1 p.m. Saturday in Buffalo.
