The Branham boys want to make it big and are doing the work to get there
COLUMBUS -- Northland High School sports has quite a dynamic duo in junior J.J. Branham and younger brother Kalil. The pair play football, baseball and run track for the Vikings.
You're likely to find them in the weight room at the school or the Karl Road YMCA. They usually work out 4-5 days a week and have no time to be tired. "There is no time for pity," J.J. Branham told ABC-6 during a workout Tuesday night.
Branham totaled 1,526 yards rushing during the 2017 season including 32 touchdowns. His recruiting list is growing and the brothers have taken several unofficial visits along the way. "Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee, Pitt, Cincinnati, Marshall," Branham said.
Kalil is a sophomore receiver at Northland and said sibling rivalry does not exist but they love to "team up to be some other folks."
What caught our attention was the unique workout videos the brothers produce and then send release on social media. J.J. Branham won a contest with a workout video last year. The prize ? Training with former Steeler and current New England Patriot James Harrison in Pittsburgh.
