NFL Draft: OSU's Holmes, Jones the latest Buckeyes to get drafted
Two more Buckeyes are off the board.
In the fourth round, with the 102nd overall pick, the Minnesota Vikings selected Ohio State DE Jalyn Holmes.
During his Ohio State career, Holmes earned an honorable mention All-Big Ten (coaches & media) in 2016 and 2017.
The selection of Holmes means the Vikings have now drafted Ohio State players in back-to-back years. In 2017, the Viking selected Ohio State C Pat Elflein 70th overall.
Then in the fifth round, with the 168 pick, the Seattle Seahawks selected T Jamarco Jones.
During his Ohio State career, Jones was named to the first-team All-Big Ten Conference (coaches and media) in 2017, and the second-team All-Big Ten Conference (coaches and media) in 2016.
Holmes and Jones are just the latest Buckeyes to be selected in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The other Buckeyes drafted include:
- CB Denzel Ward, 4th overall, Cleveland Browns
- C Billy Price, 21st overall, Cincinnati Bengals
- DE Tyquan Lewis, 64th overall, Indianapolis Colts
- LB Jerome Baker, 73rd overall, Miami Dolphins
- DE Sam Hubbard, 77th overall, Cincinnati Bengals
There are still other eligible Buckeyes that could be drafted. The final rounds of the draft will air on ESPN.
