The Football Fever: Burrow, Haskins have battled it out, now up to Meyer to pick starter

COLUMBUS -- Junior Joe Burrow feels like his leadership ability might be the thing that earns him the starting job if he gets the nod.

"I could see that being the thing that puts me over the top," said Burrow after Saturday's Spring Game. Dwayne has a big-time arm and I think I have a good arm as well but I've really tried to be a leader in spring practices." Burrow finished his spring with a flurry as he completed 15 of 22 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns to Demario McCall.

Elite sophomore passer Dwayne Haskins has the big arm and the ability put the ball where he wants it. "I do have a big arm but it's not just the long ball that I can throw," Haskins told reporters after the Spring Game where he completed 9 of 19 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

Head Coach Urban Meyer said following the Spring Game he and his staff will pour over all the data from spring practice and consider the intangibles as well in hopes to letting the players know where they stand.
